Lauren specializes in the rehabilitation of patients with complex chronic illnesses including: autonomic disorders (dysautonomia), patients with protracted recovery post concussion / mTBI (> 3 weeks), Long-COVID, and Functional Neurological Disorders (FND).

Lauren has advanced training in vision therapy. She is a Board-Certified Specialist in Neurologic PT, 2022 and earned a Vestibular Competency through Duke University in 2021. She was awarded the ANPT Clincial Excellence Award, 2026. Lauren is currently enrolled at Nova Southeastern University, pursuing her PhD in Health Science.

Lauren had the incredible opportunity to co-develop two novel intervention protocols for her patient populations: 1) The ZINC Protocol - integrating the neurological domains of concussion with a focus on Brain Body Integration (Primitive Reflex Integration), 2) The ADaPT protocol. A collaborative effort with Intermountain Health and the University of Utah, an objective, tailored, and measurable protocol for the treatment of dysautonomia. She co-authored the Preferred Practice Pattern for Intermountain Health for the Care of Patients with Chronic Autonomic Dysfunction.

Through a team based approach - including a FCOVD neuro-optometrist, medical team members, psychology, OT, PT, and SLP, the team offer state-of-the-art comprehensive treatment for the concussion and long-COVID populations. Lauren's favorite population to work with are those who have struggled chronically post concussion (>1year).

My primary goals: provider education, conducting and publishing research improve care for medically complex patients. I enjoy teaching and mentoring fellow staff members as well as students and have had the pleasure of onboarding fellow PTs into the world of complex chronic illness.

Through my work with concussions, I co-founded a tech company looking to close the education gap across the country. PhoenixConcussionRecovery.com is here to support providers treating in this complex medical space.

Providers are able to obtain CEUs for concussion educational content including: Early education, assessments across the concussion domains, working as a collaborative team, and integrating treatments across domains. We are also offering a Certification Program for our unique Primitive Reflex Integration Therapy Protocol for providers to immediately implement in their practice.
