Episode 14 (PT Kit Darling)
Kit is a physiotherapist (PT) on the inpatient Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) rehab team at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. Currently working in the "neurocognitive stream" which caters to patients with more cognitive impairments, Kit has also worked in the "neurophysical stream" which caters to patients who are more physically impaired. Physiotherapists at Toronto's University Health Network (UHN) work closely with Occupational Therapists (OTs), social workers, speech therapists, and rehab therapists to help maximize patients' independence, safety, and function prior to discharge home.
