Innovation & Rehabilitation (Motus Nova; David Wu & Nick Housley)
Brain injury and stroke survivors often have a difficult time in rehab for numerous reasons (some of which were described by Lauren in her latest podcast series on chronic pain). Motus Nova CEO David Wu, and Director of Clinical Research Nick Housley, are trying to address several of these reasons, such as; transportation to appointments which may be a long way away (or restricted due to COVID), financial accessibility (paying for more sessions), and practice, practice, practice.David and Nick join me for episode 69 to talk about how Motus Nova, with a combination of tele-health and their Hand Mentor and Foot Mentor, are looking to alleviate this extra burden on individuals whose mobility is limited.
